Special services for people with DIABETES by...
KINGS PHARMACY |
People living with diabetes can lead long, healthy lives, when their medications are managed properly. The pharmacists at Kings have specialized training in diabetes management and years of experience working closely with diabetics.
Always talk with your Kings Pharmacist when selecting a non-prescription medication, for assistance in selecting one that will not interact with your medications, or your diabetes.
Uncontrolled diabetes can decrease kidney function, and decreased kidney function often requires dosage adjustments in a diabetic patient's medication. Many medications, both prescription and non-prescription, may interact with other medications that you may need to take if you become ill, such as antibiotics.
Our pharmacists are trained to recognize such interactions, and to work as a team with you and your physician. Our pharmacists keep an ear open for new treatments for diabetes, and seek out ways to improve your care. Together we can choose medications that work well together, and keep you on your feet.
If you have Diabetes ask about the Kings Pharmacy D.R.E.A.M. PROGRAM Diabetes Related Education and Management. The DREAM program is targeted to help you control your blood sugars. You will work closely with a pharmacist, nurse, and nutritionist to help control your diabetes.
